Leadership Academy Deadline Extended to Nov. 30

The AYLA/Austin Bar Leadership Academy assists Austin-area lawyers in making a difference in our community and in service to the Bar. A class of lawyers from the Austin Bar and AYLA will be selected from applications submitted by lawyers of all areas of practice, firm size, and levels of experience.

The latest ethics opinion addresses whether a lawyer may agree to be bound by a non-disparagement clause in a client settlement agreement, and whether such a clause may contain a provision not to reveal confidential information related to the representation for marketing purposes.

2nd Trial Institute a Success

AYLA held its second Trial Institute on June 27 in the ceremonial courtroom at the Travis County Civil & Family Courts Facility.
