AYLA is hosting our ninth-annual Tailgate for a Cause fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 22, for the UT vs Arkansas game. We will be in the same location as years past–at the corner of 17th and Brazos. The purpose of the tailgate is to raise funds to support the Partnerships for Children Holiday Wishes Program. Last year, AYLA supported the Holiday Wishes Program by raising funds to purchase gifts, contributing to the Rainbow Room, and volunteering to help wrap presents for distribution to children connected to Child Protective Services. In 2024, the Holiday Wishes Program distributed more than 22,500 gifts to 7,500 children in 33 counties in Texas.
AYLA’s Tailgate for a Cause helps support this tremendously successful and generous program that brings smiles and joy to children. Accordingly, on behalf of the Austin Young Lawyers Association Foundation, we are asking for your support and invite you to join us for fun, football, and making a difference.
All sponsors will receive recognition at the event, on the AYLA website and social media, on the sponsor board, and in Austin Lawyer. The following contribution levels have been established:
Championship – $1,000
Touchdown – $750
Field goal – $500
First down – $250
Join us for a great time at the tailgate—all while supporting a great cause! It’s a win-win, no matter which team you’re rooting for. Food, adult beverages, and other refreshments will be provided. Friends and family are welcome. This year, there will be activities and games set up for children in the area too.
If you forget to RSVP or sponsor ahead of time, there is a suggested $20 donation at the event if you walk up.
