Congratulations to Tom Jacob of National Trial Law, who recently had a paper published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
The IEEE is one of the world’s leading standards-publishing organizations, known for developing technical and engineering standards across industries—from healthcare data systems to electrical and computing technologies.
Tom’s paper, Updating ePHI Definitions: Audit Trail and Audit Data, identifies gaps and proposes solutions for electronic medical record standards, which don’t don’t adequately account for AI, data from health monitoring devices, and the transferability of health data.
