The Austin Young Lawyers Association (AYLA) was one of the winners of the 2025 Texas Free Legal Answers Summer of Service competition as part of the Central Region group, which won by answering the most questions and having the highest attorney participation.
To celebrate the victory, AYLA hopes to plan an event with the other Central Region groups that participated.
Some of the AYLA top contributors included Armin Salek, TYLA President-Elect and Youth Justice Alliance Executive Director from Austin and Gracie Wood Shepherd, AYLA President-Elect. At the July Summer of Service Sip and Serve event, AYLA members and volunteers answered more than 20 questions. The combined efforts of attorneys and young lawyer associations throughout the state led to 208 legal questions being answered for low-income Texans.
AYLA is proud of its participation and its member volunteers who helped make a difference in so many lives. It is their hope that this will encourage more attorneys to answer questions through Texas Free Legal Answers going forward.
